This Privacy Policy explains how HOLO collects, uses, and protects your personal information in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). By using HOLO, you consent to the practices described here.

Information we collect

  • Account details such as your name, email address, and password.
  • Transaction data such as listings, orders, shipping addresses, and payment status. Card payments are handled by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage data such as device, browser, app version, navigation, and limited marketplace interaction information collected through PostHog EU Cloud. Web analytics starts only after acceptance.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and operate the marketplace, process transactions, prevent fraud, provide support, comply with legal obligations, and improve the Service. Product analytics is limited to defined navigation and marketplace events; session replay, touch or form autocapture, and free-text content capture are disabled. We process personal information only for lawful purposes and keep it no longer than necessary.

Sharing

We share information with other users only as needed to complete a transaction (for example, shipping details between buyer and seller), and with service providers such as payment processors, hosting providers, and PostHog EU Cloud for limited product analytics and frontend diagnostics. We do not sell your personal information.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may object to certain processing. Web visitors can withdraw analytics consent through Cookie settings, and you can delete your account from the Account screen in HOLO. To exercise other rights, contact us using the details below.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
